Good Day and God Bless!

I wanted to touch base with all of your faithful Good News Club Leaders and give you some pointers (if you need them).  Also included in this, is a sample schedule of how we run the Alloway Club.  We plan, but do not go strictly by the times if there are participation questions and remarks that we like to expound on.  Our club is very absorbent in God's Word and they enjoy answering questions! See the schedule attachment.  We serve a snack each time we have club but make it easy on ourselves.  We put a small bottle of water, a napkin, and 2 prepackaged snacks in the paper bag which makes handout and cleanup easy for us.  We rotate which kids hand out the snacks!

The Texas Roadhouse was a huge success!  We made $866.16, that is a blessing since it was minimal work for all of us.  We got a donation of $500, we had a bake sale and the 10% from Texas Roadhouse.  It was a super fun night with so many folks coming in for dinner and the dinner was enjoyable.  Thank you to all who came and to the staff at the Roadhouse!  We are looking at a fundraiser at Apple-bees in May or June for the west side of the county.

We are now on our next fundraiser which is Chick Filet on Landis Ave in Vineland.  I know many of you on the Delaware River side of the county will not be able to make it to the Thursday, March 27th fundraiser from 4pm to 8pm.  If you would be so kind to print out the attachment for the event and leave them at your church, include them in the kids take home items at clubs, or other places that would permit us to advertise, we would be grateful.  We plan on being very aggressive on our advertising on this side of the county to get as many as we can to participate.  There is no work for us except to advertise it.  Please have people pick up the flyer and take it with them to shop the restaurant.  It is good for online and for takeout orders.   We figure that the Alloway Club and the Quinton Club and our surrounding Churches could make this a success for us.

April will be the Upper Pittsgrove Club Highlight.  There will be info on how many years that club has been meeting, how many children they have meeting, what their favorite activities are and whatever else they wish to share for us to glean.  Thank that team for sharing with us!

It is very important for everyone to know that we currently have 9 clubs meeting in our county schools.  That is huge! We a looking to add Elmer Elementary next year to give us 10!  Praise God for those of you ministering to all these kids weekly.  If we figure 12 kids each club, that we are ministering to 108 kids per week (conservatively).  Thank you again for your service!

In Christ's Service,

Bev Williams Secretary for Child Evangelism Fellowship of Salem County
